Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ship Cook to join our maritime crew. The Ship Cook will be responsible for preparing nutritious and tasty meals for the crew while ensuring adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards onboard the vessel. This role requires the ability to work in a dynamic, confined environment at sea and manage kitchen inventory efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals for the crew in accordance with the ship's menu and dietary requirements
Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to safety and health regulations
Manage food inventory, order supplies, and control waste
Ensure all food is stored, prepared, and served in accordance with safety and health standards
Collaborate with the crew to understand their dietary needs and preferences.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience as a cook in a commercial or industrial kitchen
Valid food safety certification (HACCP)
Relevant culinary training certification
Ability to work effectively in a confined environment
Good communication and teamwork skill
Valid seafarer certification
Adaptability to changing circumstances and priorities
